“We are willing to spend five years in university learning for a career, so why do we think we don’t need to learn when it comes to raising children — the most important 18-year project of our lives?”

– Mr. Long, a parent from FV88 It Com Tay Ho Tay, shared a reflection that deeply resonated with all parents attending the “Positive Parenting” course.

The “Positive Parenting” course has just reached its 8th session — a milestone where parents faced one of the most difficult challenges in parenting: managing anger.

cha-me-tich-cuc-02

Mr. Le Van Hao explained an important truth: when anger takes over, our brains switch into a primitive “fight or flight” mode. Out of love and intense concern, parents’ minds can sometimes function like a “radar,” exaggerating risks and catastrophizing every mistake their children make.

In those moments, even with good intentions, losing control can turn us into the people who hurt our children the most. Children are left confused by a painful contradiction: if this is love, why does it hurt so much? Only when we remain calm can we think wisely enough to find non-violent solutions that help children feel safe rather than fearful.

To manage anger effectively, the “Time-out” toolkit for parents was introduced as a practical strategy:

  • Step away from the “hot zone”: temporarily remove yourself from the tense situation by getting a glass of water or moving to another space.
  • Regulate your body: count from 1 to 10 or focus on deep breathing to regain emotional balance.
  • Communicate honestly: calmly tell your child, “Mom/Dad is feeling very upset right now. I need a few minutes to calm down, then we can continue talking.”

cha-me-tich-cuc-03

When parents choose to “slow down for a moment,” connection is preserved. And only through connection can the true influence of education begin.

The 8-session journey at FV88 It Com has been shaped by many heartfelt real-life experiences shared by parents. One example is Ms. Nga from The Dewey Ocean Park, who lives as far as Thanh Tri Bridge yet consistently traveled the long distance every week for the past eight weeks.

“I learned how to regulate my emotions in ways that suit my child. Only when I change positively can I guide my child toward good values without placing pressure on their emotional well-being.”

cha-me-tich-cuc-04

Mr. Long’s story from FV88 It Com Tay Ho Tay brought another deeply emotional reflection. He shared how one evening he became irritated because his child kept delaying homework. But when he noticed the frustration and sadness on his child’s face, he suddenly realized that his child had also gone through a long and exhausting day at school. Instead of continuing to assert his authority as a father, he chose to apologize. The moment his child burst into tears after finally feeling understood became the clearest proof: when parents can control their anger, love finally has a safe place to stay.

Becoming a positive parent does not mean becoming perfect. It means continuously striving to understand your child with a calm and compassionate heart. Your calmness today may become the most valuable gift for your child’s mental well-being tomorrow.

Which environment helps your child balance academics and extracurriculars?

According to the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), current global university admissions trends show that institutions no longer focus solely on GPA. Instead, they place strong emphasis on curriculum rigor, extracurricular activities, and personal essays. Many top universities in the U.S., such as Harvard and Stanford, have adopted a holistic review process—evaluating the entirety of a student’s journey, from experiences and projects to how they express their personal perspectives.

This reflects a clear reality: grades are no longer a competitive advantage—they are simply a prerequisite. In an environment filled with high-achieving students, what makes your child stand out?

ho-so-cua-con-01

WHAT KIND OF LEARNING ENVIRONMENT HELPS BUILD A DISTINCTIVE PROFILE?

It is one where students actively construct knowledge, deeply understand core concepts, and apply them flexibly through purposefully designed experiential learning activities. Through this, they develop both intellectual capacity and essential skills as global citizens, ready to adapt to an ever-changing future.

  • A program transferred from Mount Vernon School (USA), implemented alongside the Vietnamese Ministry of Education framework, ensures students build a strong academic foundation while developing analytical thinking, reasoning skills, and adaptability to higher academic standards.
  • A structured Career and College Counseling program starting from Grade 6 helps students understand themselves and career pathways early, set clear academic goals, and optimize their profiles for admission to top Vietnamese universities such as Foreign Trade University, Banking Academy, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, National University of Civil Engineering, as well as prestigious global institutions like Monash University, Korea University, and the University of Sydney.
  • Interdisciplinary projects across Mathematics, Literature, History, ICT, and Science enable students to apply knowledge in real-world contexts—from scientific research and product design to building business models—thereby developing systems thinking and the ability to connect knowledge flexibly.
  • An English program aligned with Common Core standards equips students to achieve diverse academic goals. Students use English as a tool for research, presentations, debates, and participation in international competitions and academic contests. As a result, English goes beyond test scores to become a powerful instrument for learning and global competitiveness.
  • In addition to academic competitions, students participate in business simulations, financial projects, and real-world problem-solving through competitions such as the JA/FedEx International Trade Challenge and the Vietnam SEIA Entrepreneurship Competition. These experiences allow them to turn ideas into real value—from planning and calculation to execution—fostering an application-driven mindset rather than purely theoretical learning.

Discover your child’s future readiness:

Every parent hopes their child learns in a joyful, engaging environment—because positive emotions are a powerful foundation for building motivation and a love of learning.

But is “learning happily” alone enough?

hoc-vui-moi-ngay-02

According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, positive emotions do enhance learning outcomes. However, only when paired with deep thinking and meaningful experiences does learning translate into lasting competencies. In other words, joy may spark the journey—but it is core skills and capabilities that determine how far a child can go.

Over the next decade, in a rapidly changing world where knowledge is instantly accessible, competitive advantage will no longer come from perfect grades alone. It will come from how individuals can:

Take ownership of their learning and seek answers independently
Think critically and solve unfamiliar problems
Stay resilient and composed amid constant change and pressure

hoc-vui-moi-ngay-03

A positive learning environment can inspire children to enjoy learning. But to go further—with confidence and clarity—the foundation must be built on essential skills developed through purposeful experiences.

When students learn to ask questions, persist in finding answers, understand themselves, and make informed decisions, learning evolves beyond academic results—it becomes a lifelong foundation for growth.

So, where does your child stand today?

What strengths are already emerging?
Which competencies need further development?

hoc-vui-moi-ngay-04

In just a few minutes, this assessment will help parents gain a clearer understanding of their child’s current abilities, identify essential future-ready skills, and map out a personalized development pathway.

Parenting has never been an easy journey. Providing care and love alone is not enough—it is also about walking alongside your child through everyday experiences so they can grow. Within the “Positive Parenting” course, the topic of “Active Listening” created a space for deep connection, helping parents realize that to truly reach their child’s world, sometimes we don’t need to say more—we need to listen more deeply.

lang-nghe-03

Under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Lê Văn Hảo, parents stepped into the role of children who are often interrupted, judged, or imposed upon by adults. In a scenario where a child is about to have a tooth extracted for the first time and is trembling with fear, parents experienced firsthand the difference between two approaches. Instead of dismissing the feeling with, “There’s nothing to be afraid of—it’ll be over in a second!”, they were guided to listen and acknowledge their child’s emotions. Through this activity, parents came to understand the disappointment of being interrupted or having their fears judged. They learned that sometimes, a simple validation such as, “I know you’re feeling very worried because this is your first tooth extraction, right?” can create a moment of empathy—helping children feel safe to open up and ready to face challenges together with their parents.

lang-nghe-04

Dr. Hảo also guided parents through a four-step connection process. The first two steps focus on responding to and validating emotions so the child feels understood. The third step encourages the child to confidently express their feelings, and the final step involves working together to find solutions rather than doing things for them or imposing decisions. This approach transforms discipline from pressure into an opportunity for children to develop self-awareness, trust their emotions, and build a sense of responsibility.

As the emotional sessions came to a close, every parent realized that being a positive parent is not about being perfect, but about continuously striving to understand. When parents choose to listen instead of speak, and to empathize instead of judge, each day becomes a valuable opportunity to build deeper connections and create a family environment filled with respect and love.

Recently, Edufit Education Group and British University Vietnam (BUV) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone in their shared mission to provide Dewey students with access to internationally accredited university programs. This partnership aims to equip students with strong academic foundations, essential skills, and a global mindset to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

As the only international university in Vietnam that awards undergraduate degrees directly accredited by UK institutions such as the University of London, Staffordshire University, University of Stirling, Arts University Bournemouth, Bournemouth University, and Manchester Metropolitan University, BUV offers a truly international learning environment within Vietnam. Students benefit from rigorous academic training and the development of competencies essential for global integration.

tiep-can-giao-duc-02

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Trần Thị Hồng Hạnh, CEO of Edufit, emphasized: “Our collaboration with BUV is driven by the growing demand for high-quality university programs that offer diverse academic pathways aligned with students’ career aspirations. Many Dewey graduates currently studying at BUV have shared highly positive feedback about the university’s environment and academic quality. Moving forward, we aim to further strengthen this partnership, enabling future generations of Dewey students to access reputable international education opportunities.” Professor Rick Bennett, Vice Chancellor of BUV, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting Dewey students through personalized guidance and academic advising, helping them choose suitable majors and learning pathways aligned with their future career goals. Associate Professor James Abdey from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), also Academic Director at the University of London, highlighted the excellence of LSE-led programs and expressed confidence that this partnership will open doors for outstanding students to access world-leading academic programs in the UK and beyond.

tiep-can-giao-duc-03

Under the agreement, University of London programs—academically directed by LSE and delivered at BUV—will serve as the cornerstone of this strategic partnership. These programs offer flexible study options, including single and dual degree pathways. Notably, many University of London member institutions belong to the prestigious Russell Group, often regarded as the “Ivy League of the UK.”

With academic direction from LSE—ranked among the world’s top 10 institutions for Economics and Econometrics in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025—the programs ensure learning outcomes equivalent to those achieved by students studying in the UK. The curriculum is designed with rigorous academic standards, with a strong focus on social sciences and management disciplines. This enables Dewey students to access international-quality education in Vietnam, optimizing costs compared to studying abroad while still earning globally recognized degrees with strong competitiveness in the international job market.

tiep-can-giao-duc-04

In addition, BUV and Edufit will jointly implement a comprehensive series of career orientation initiatives, including career seminars, simulated classes, experiential days, and industry networking events. These activities will provide students with practical insights and help them gradually build personalized career pathways aligned with their strengths and aspirations.

Importantly, the partnership also opens early access to international foundation and undergraduate programs at BUV, including the International Foundation Programme and the UK Foundation Programme, helping bridge the gap to advanced education systems. Both institutions are also committed to developing dedicated scholarship schemes to encourage and support talented students in pursuing international academic pathways.

This collaboration between BUV and Edufit represents a strategic step toward building a seamless educational journey, equipping Dewey students with the academic knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to confidently enter international universities and succeed in a global career landscape.

What competitive skills is your child missing? Take the assessment now: https://forms.gle/imuwHKfwCH1eDbmP7 Many parents believe that strong English skills alone can secure their child a competitive edge in both academics and future careers. However, this is only the “tip of the iceberg.” Despite being fluent in a foreign language, many students still struggle to generate ideas for essays, find it challenging to comprehend academic materials, and lack confidence in debates and presentations. In 2024, more than one-third of surveyed translators in the UK reported job losses due to AI. Economist Erik Hurst from the University of Chicago noted: “The advantage now belongs to candidates whose skills complement AI, not those performing tasks that AI can easily replace.” In the next decade, which skill sets will enable your child to stand out? The answer does not lie in any single skill. The OECD’s Learning Compass 2030 framework identifies three core transformative competencies that will define future success: the ability to create new value (creativity and innovation), the capacity to navigate tensions and solve complex problems (critical and multi-dimensional thinking), and a strong sense of responsibility toward oneself and society. Modern education is no longer about mapping out a fixed path; it is about equipping learners with a “compass” to navigate an uncharted world. This marks a critical shift from “learning to know” to “learning to adapt and create value.” True differentiation does not lie in surface-level skills, but in: How does your child approach problems? Do they have the confidence to make decisions in unprecedented situations? Can they maintain inner stability amid constant global change? In just a few minutes, the assessment below can help parents clearly identify their child’s existing strengths, capability gaps, and priority development areas—laying a strong foundation for future academic and career success. “Building culture is a journey of refining oneself.” – A closing remark at E-Talk 2026, yet one that opened up many reflections for those in attendance.

On March 21, 130 guests including CEOs, business leaders, partners, parents, and the Edufit team embarked on a meaningful journey guided by Edufit’s three founders. More than just a sharing session, E-Talk 2026 was thoughtfully designed as an immersive experience, where participants could touch – understand – see – learn – and reflect on culture.

TOUCH – Beginning with real experiences
The journey started with Edufit’s 15-year story of development. From the very beginning, culture was not built on slogans, but on choice, choosing to begin amidst challenges, choosing to pause and ask: What kind of organization do we truly want to become? And choosing to move forward together, co-creating and owning a shared future, guided by world-class experts.

dau-an-e-fest-02

UNDERSTAND – Culture is designed, not accidental
Edufit’s culture has been intentionally designed with dedication, courage, and consistency from its founders and team. The journey began with envisioning Edufit 2025 in 2017, followed by execution, team transformation, and a strong commitment to realizing that vision before moving forward to an even more ambitious future: Edufit 2032.
Despite challenges, the steadfastness of the founders and team enabled Edufit to bring its vision to life powered by its core values and cultural identity.

dau-an-e-fest-03

SEE – Culture lives in every touchpoint
Guests experienced a “house tour,” exploring the learning and working environments of Edufit students, teachers, and staff. Here, culture became tangible, visible in the space, daily operations, and everyday interactions.
“I’m not part of Edufit, but I was truly moved. Culture is present everywhere I go here,” one guest shared.

dau-an-e-fest-05

LEARN – Culture as a strategic choice
At this stage, culture was viewed through a strategic lens. Guests discovered how Edufit’s culture is implemented through six pillars: Context Setting, Cultural Pioneering, Leading by Example, Process & Environment Alignment, Communication & Amplification, and Measurement & Validation. Among these, Leading by Example stands at the core.

dau-an-e-fest-04

Ms. Minh Anh – a speaker and Edufit parent shared:
“What I appreciate most is that Edufit’s leaders don’t just talk about values, they live them every day. Their authenticity and consistency have built a strong foundation for team transformation. When leaders step in, learn, and uphold integrity in every decision, each individual is inspired to transform themselves.”

Ms. Quynh Anh (PwC Vietnam) also noted:
“It is the consistency in pursuing sustainable development that turns seemingly small actions into daily habits, ultimately shaping a strong culture.”

REFLECT – Culture becomes the organization’s ‘breath’
After 15 years, Edufit affirms: culture is not what is written on walls, but what is practiced every day through intentional choices. It may be a student’s thank-you letter to a canteen supervisor, a dedicated act at work, or doing the right thing even when no one is watching. These small, repeated actions eventually become the very “breath” of the organization.

A parent, Ms. Minh Hằng, who has three children studying at Edufit, shared:
“Edufit’s culture truly shapes the learning environment of my children. Choosing Sakura and Dewey for all three has been an incredible journey. What matters most to me is that my children are discovering their own paths with independence and self-direction.”

Another reflection from Mr. Lại Tiến Mạnh, CEO of Mibrand Vietnam:
“If we change the cause, we change the result. What I see at Edufit is that building culture is also a journey of self-transformation, creating inner strength for the organization.”

E-Talk 2026 sincerely thanks all guests, partners, parents, and the entire Edufit team for co-creating a meaningful, heartfelt, and inspiring event.

To close, we echo the words of Ms. Trần Thị Hồng Hạnh, Founder and Chairwoman of Edufit: “The journey of building culture is also a journey for leaders to reflect and refine themselves. It is about answering: Who am I? Who do I want to become? And how do I choose to live each day? When inner strength is nurtured with consistency, the organization gains a solid foundation to overcome challenges and achieve breakthrough results.”

See you at the next E-Talk!

There was once a girl who was introverted and insecure about her English. A girl who had never participated in any extracurricular activities throughout nine years of schooling. A girl who often wondered, unsure of what path truly suited her.

Three years later, that girl had become someone entirely different: bold enough to organize the first bilingual Startup Business Competition at Dewey, eager to challenge herself in extracurricular clubs, and ready to take on leadership roles while inspiring a spirit of entrepreneurship among peers who shared the same passion.
For Nhật Anh, a graduate of Class 12 Denver, her journey of growth is not measured by major titles or accolades, but by a series of meaningful experiences. Each attempt became an opportunity to reflect on herself and better understand the path she wanted to pursue.

chan-dung-Nhat-Anh-1

Previously, Nhật Anh’s English learning at her former school revolved mainly around grammar and tests. In her first year at Dewey, she initially felt overwhelmed when most subjects were taught in English, alongside the demanding pace of project-based learning and teamwork. Alongside the national curriculum from the Ministry of Education and Training, Nhật Anh also encountered entirely new subjects such as Invention and Performing Arts.

It was in the Humanities course, however—through lessons on economics, from markets and supply–demand to financial management—that she began to realize something important: learning becomes far more meaningful when knowledge connects with real-world challenges.

From that initial spark of curiosity, Nhật Anh started seeking new experiences. Recognizing her potential, Mr. Tùng, Dewey’s University and Career Counseling Specialist, encouraged her to participate in small-scale business competitions. Each competition became a chance to learn how to prepare, articulate, and present her ideas. After every experience, she would reflect: what she had done well, what could be improved, and whether this was truly the path she wanted to pursue in the long term.

It was this cycle of trial, reflection, and growth that gradually helped Nhật Anh step out of her shell of self-doubt. As co-founder of the Dewey Business Ventures competition, she patiently reviewed dozens of lengthy business plans written entirely in English, filled with complex professional terminology. Through that process, she gradually developed a strong capacity for self-directed learning—the ability to independently explore, organize knowledge, and transform unfamiliar concepts into her own understanding.

It was also the first time the once-introverted girl approached sponsors, and the first time she stood confidently before a crowd in the role of a leader. Not every moment was easy, but each experience helped her better understand both her strengths and her limits.

At the same time, Nhật Anh continued expanding her “experiential cycle” through Dewey’s career exploration activities—from university major demo classes and summer internships to field trips to universities and businesses. Each activity not only broadened her understanding of the professional world, but also encouraged her to keep asking herself an important question: What truly excites me, and who do I want to become in the future?

With the guidance of Dewey’s Career Counseling team in building her portfolio, writing application essays, and preparing for interviews, Nhật Anh successfully earned a 50% scholarship in Finance and Economics at the British University Vietnam, the very field she had chosen to pursue.

Entering her first year of university, she quickly adapted to an entirely English-speaking academic environment. Presentations and group projects no longer felt intimidating, as she had already developed the habits of proactive research, independent learning, and collaboration during her years at Dewey.

Three years ago, Nhật Anh was searching for the answer to a simple question: “What am I truly suited for?” Three years later, she not only discovered her passion for finance and economics, but also gained the confidence to pursue the path she had chosen. At Dewey, such journeys of growth do not happen in a single breakthrough moment. Instead, they are shaped through multiple circles of experience—where students are encouraged to try, reflect, and gradually discover their own identity. Because sometimes, the most valuable thing education can offer is not a predetermined destination, but the ability to understand oneself and bravely move forward on the path one chooses.

The “EXPERIENTIAL CYCLE” campaign by FV88 It Com affirms an educational approach where experience is not simply a method, but the very core of learning. Each student is placed at the center of their developmental journey, guided to build self-learning capacity, independent thinking, and the confidence to shape their own future.
