Creativity, explosive technological thinking, and high practicality characterized the Grand Finale of Dolphin Tank. The event served as a “launchpad” for TDSers to prove their ability to adapt to the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through three core survival skills: Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Persuasion.

dolphin-tank-02

With the theme “Business Planning to Solve Social Issues in Vietnam,” the competition attracted 47 contestants across 18 teams. After a challenging two-month journey including two intense qualifying rounds, the five best teams emerged to compete in the final stage. Here, they presented surprising projects driven by an “AI-Native” mindset. The students proactively placed technology at the “core” of their projects to ensure profitability went hand-in-hand with sustainability. These ideas were truly applicable: from a personalized career orientation platform using AI data analysis and a digital bookkeeping system for small businesses to a therapeutic cafe model helping youth with “digital detoxing.” Their seamless operation of digital platforms reaffirmed that Dewey students are ready to lead the latest technological waves.

dolphin-tank-03

The student group including Ha Linh, Ngoc Ha, and Minh Ngoc (Class 8Oslo – Dewey Cau Giay) excelled by winning the Runner-up position with a breakthrough idea: a personalized career orientation app for students in grades 6-12. The group conducted a field survey with over 100 samples across Hanoi and other provinces to find the true “touchpoints” of their users. They shared that the greatest difficulty was not the AI technology itself, but rather the dry financial figures. To create a complete business plan, the team had to figure out revenue calculations, user projections, and conduct deep research into the Vietnamese labor market.

dolphin-tank-04

“The research process took a lot of time, but it helped us better understand the professional world out there. We realized that amidst a forest of information, what truly matters is the core data the user needs. Through more than two months of working on the project, we also learned how to harmonize within a team and how to collectively bridge the gaps in our financial knowledge that we had never encountered before,” shared a group representative.

dolphin-tank-05

This inquisitive spirit completely won over the Board of Judges. Mr. Dang Minh Quang (Chairperson of the Dewey Tay Ho Tay Parent Council) and competition judge remarked: “I am extremely impressed by how the teams focused on modern tech trends like AI. With a bit more preparation, these ideas are entirely ready for real-world implementation right now.”

Dolphin Tank has truly awakened the sense of ownership and proactivity in TDSers on their journey to pursue their passions. Here, they understand that business is about using Creativity to solve social problems, Critical Thinking to stand firm against variables, and Persuasion to connect like-minded hearts. These valuable experiences form the foundation for them to confidently realize their cherished projects, ready to face any future challenge.

Looking at her petite stature, gentle smile, and slender hands, few would guess that Bao Anh (5CapeTown) possesses such remarkable “stamina” on her journey to conquering the piano. Earning the title of Salutatorian for the 9-year Intermediate program at the Vietnam National Academy of Music is a proud milestone, but for her, it is only the beginning of a long journey that demands discipline and persistence.

chan-dung-bao-anh-02

At the “Voices of the Hands” exhibition, Bao Anh moved teachers and friends to silence as she shared a painting of golden trophies and the thorny path behind her chosen career: “I heard that out of 60 students admitted to the Academy, only 12 actually graduate. That made me realize: there are no footprints of the lazy on the path to success. Only through effort can you succeed.”

chan-dung-bao-anh-03

Beyond her commitment to music, Bao Anh actively participates in school activities and is always ready to take on new roles. Growing up in a family that values knowledge, she was never forced into a specific mold but was empowered to make her own choices and take responsibility for them: “When I face difficulties, my family is always a foundation for listening and support, but the journey to the finish line must be walked by my own feet.”

Pursuing both intensive academics and professional music simultaneously, Bao Anh developed self-discipline early on. She proactively utilizes every moment of her day to complete her studies, maintaining total focus during her practice hours.

At Dewey, that journey is supported with flexibility and understanding. Teachers assist her so that her academic progress remains uninterrupted while respecting her personal pace of development. This support doesn’t lessen the challenge; rather, it provides her with the stability to pursue her choices.

chan-dung-bao-anh-04

Speaking about following one’s dreams, Bao Anh sent a message to her peers: “Even if you aren’t perfect yet, as long as you dare to be yourself, have your own opinions, and persistently pursue your dreams, you will find your own value.”

The image of this petite Salutatorian with such strong inner power is a vivid portrayal of the generation of students Dewey is nurturing—young people who are not only intellectually excellent but also possess the tenacity to chase their goals. Dewey believes that every student will become an empathetic individual who maintains their unique identity, transforming silent efforts into their own most brilliant symphony, confidently stepping out into the world as masters of the future.

Ms. Huong Chi – Class Teacher’s Reflection:

“In Bao Anh, I see an admirable sense of self-awareness. There are days she must leave school early for classes at the Conservatory, yet she always proactively contacts teachers to keep up with the lessons. The school’s support is merely supplementary; the core of Bao Anh’s success is her ability to self-regulate and her sense of responsibility toward her passion. She is proof that when a child is empowered with autonomy, they can produce results beyond expectations.”

Building on their impressive performance in the regional round, three teams from FV88 It Com have advanced to the National Finals of the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge 2026. Facing nearly 70 teams from middle and high schools across the country, our young “engineers” maintained their composure to once again conquer the challenging STEM arena, bringing home two Second Prizes and one Team Bronze Prize!

robotics-02

Following the regional round just a few weeks prior, TDSers had very little time to practice and prepare for the national stage while balancing their academic and personal schedules. However, fueled by the foundation of lifelong learning nurtured at Dewey, these “engineers” grew even more enthusiastic, pushing themselves further than in previous rounds.

Centering on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the teams presented breakthrough solutions using open-source technology platforms to solve simulated problems regarding the environment, food security, and community support. In the National Round, students tackled tasks such as irrigation and fruit harvesting at a much higher level of difficulty. The continuous process of improving and optimizing robot features remained the key to reaching the podium.

robotics-03

As one of the two representatives from Dewey Cau Giay in the combined lineup, TDSer Huy Lan (6Liverpool) from the Dewey Junior 01 team shared: “Since only Bao Nam and I from our team study at Dewey Cau Giay, we proactively arranged our time to travel to the Tay Ho Tay campus to practice and connect with our older teammates and peers. Participating in this competition has taught me so much; everyone was always ready to support one another, and I am truly proud of the bond within the Dewey community.”

robotics-04

Sharing the joy of winning Second Prize at the National Finals, Bao Nam expressed: “Achieving this makes me very proud. I’ve learned a lot through this competition, especially the skill of flexible problem-solving with given tasks and gaining experience from major contests. This will definitely be a great motivation for me to continue my journey in upcoming technology competitions.”

robotics-05

The competition opened doors for Dewey students to hone their practical problem-solving skills in contexts where answers aren’t readily available. From programming and testing to constantly adjusting match strategies, they are developing a skill even more vital than technical expertise: the ability to adapt to variables—a foundation that will carry them further in STEM and any future field.

Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Vietnam 2026 is a world-leading educational robotics competition sponsored by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)—a specialized agency of the United Nations. The competition is for Vietnamese students aged 10-19, encouraging them to design, assemble, and program robots to solve global challenges toward a sustainable life. The National Finals were co-organized by the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) and the STEM Education Promotion Alliance, supported by the National Innovation Center (NIC).

Building on their impressive achievements at the regional round, three teams from Dewey Tay Ho Tay advanced to the National Finals of the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge*. Competing against nearly 70 teams from schools across the country, these young “engineers” demonstrated remarkable composure and determination, once again conquering a challenging STEM arena and bringing home 2 Second Prizes and 1 Third Prize.

robotics-03 robotics-02 robotics-01

With only a short time between the regional and national rounds, TDSers had limited time to prepare while still balancing their academic and daily schedules. However, grounded in Dewey’s lifelong learning mindset, the teams became even more driven, pushing their performance beyond what they had achieved previously.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the competition challenged teams to develop innovative solutions using open-source technology to address real-world issues such as environmental protection, food security, and community support. At the national level, students tackled more complex tasks, including irrigation and fruit harvesting simulations. Continuous improvement and optimization of robot functionality proved to be the key to success.

Despite it being their first time participating in a large-scale robotics competition, Tu Tuyen, Tri Dung, Minh Duc, and Hoang Minh (9Zurich) advanced to the finals and won Second Prize in the Senior category. As the team member responsible for presenting the field challenge, Minh Duc shared: “Competing alongside students from different schools gave me valuable experience and motivated me to keep improving my knowledge and skills, as well as to pursue new opportunities in the future. Although we feel a bit disappointed about missing the chance to go to Switzerland, this is still a memorable experience filled with lessons and pride for both me and my team.”

Nam Anh (6Liverpool), a member of Dewey Junior 01, also reflected: “The most important thing I learned is that even a small mistake can widen the gap to the leading position. I also realized how crucial teamwork is. Despite the tight preparation time and demanding schedule, we supported each other and gave it our all. Even though we narrowly missed first place, we are still proud of what our team has achieved.”

A total of 9 Gold Medals and 2 Bronze Medals have officially been awarded to the “Team D” athletes, once again bringing The Dewey Schools into the spotlight within Hanoi’s student basketball community!

A highlight was the face-off between the U18 team of FV88 It Com and Marie Curie Văn Phú in the final of the Junior Vietnam Basketball Tournament (JVBT). With sharp offensive plays and a series of accurate shots, Team D completely controlled the game, finishing with a convincing 75–57 victory and proudly taking home the championship trophy.

At the 3×3 Hanoi Open Cup 2026 – Legacy to the Future (Boys U12), Nguyễn Kiên (6 Nottingham) impressed the crowd with his resilience against physically stronger opponents. Meanwhile, at the Junior Vietnam Basketball Tournament (JVBT) Spring 3×3 2026 (Girls U14), Trang Anh (8 Torun) demonstrated strong composure, effectively controlling and coordinating the game tempo in the Center position. Although both finished in third place, Kiên and Trang Anh pushed beyond their limits and grew stronger with each game.

Every moment on the court reflects months of relentless training, sweat-soaked jerseys, and above all, a spirit of teamwork that drives them to go further together.

FV88 It Com proudly congratulates these “warriors” for giving their all and shining in their own unique ways. May you continue to keep your passion burning, stride forward with confidence, and conquer many more new heights on the journey ahead!
