MEDICAL SERVICE

All-around healthcare supervision for Students is one of the leading focus for FV88 It Com, which is consistent with the academic operation towards educating Students. The school has experienced medical staffs with high specialty, always following the physicality development of TDSers, support students on a daily basis to be prepared for new academic experiences and exploration.

All campuses in The Dewey School system are equipped with state-of-the-art Medical clinics, which fulfilled the needs for healthcare services and on-site emergency procedures.

All students at FV88 It Com are entitled to have physical examination annually. Based on the the health examination, Students will have their overall health evaluated for an overview of their current health condition. Especially, TDSer health examination results will be noted carefully in the logbook and sent by the school to parents for keeping track of the students’ health.

PICK-UP/ DROP-OFF BUS SERVICE

PICK-UP/ DROP-OFF BUS SERVICE

The school provide bus service to pick up and drop off students, to ensure students are able to commute to and from school in high-quality buses and in compliance with the traffic regulations.
Requirements for using the school bus service:

The distance from the pickup point to FV88 It Com is less than 20 km. The distance is measured using Google Maps calculation tool, based on the timestamp of service registration from Parents.
Parents have to register for the service via SSM, sign the commitment form in using the school bus service and process payment sufficiently in accordance to the school’s financial policy, which is payment have to be met no later than 07 (seven) days before the start date of service, given that the school is able to allocate a suitable bus ride with the parents’ desires.
Bus rides are allocated and fixed in the beginning of the school year, if parents want to make changes to the initial service (new/ additional registration or change of pickup/drop-off location), the feasibility for the modification will have to depend on the existing route initially. Parents also have to inform the Bus service team/ Support team on SSM no later than 07 (seven) days before the change effective date.

At the beginning of the school year, all students will be able to participate in mandatory training courses about basic escape skills, such as: pressing the exit button to open the door for escape, pressing horn to alarm, using emergency hammer, first-aid location,… If students don’t participate, the school will refuse to provide service.

UNIFORM

UNIFORM

Uniform policy:

Students are required to wear school uniforms everyday during the week. The only exceptions are the last Fridays of each month, students are able to wear their own outfit – please note that these outfits must be appropriate with the educational environment (no short skirts/shorts which are 5cm and above knee height)

NUTRITION

Nutrition is always a vital element at FV88 It Com, aims to support students in healthy development of both physicality and intelligence. Based on the Student-centered philosophy, the school meals are well-balanced in nutrition, with abundance of flavors, delicious, suitable to the students’ palette and awareness of each specific dietary restrictions.

All of the ingredients used by the schools system are strictly monitored, clean food with assured originality and beneficial for health from prestige suppliers with official accreditations. Prior to being in partnership with the school, the suppliers must pass various of inspection rounds on areas, such as: ingredients, all related and legal documentations, facilities & amenities,… in order to be accepted as TDS Grocery suppliers. In addition, the school also perform on-site random inspection of all suppliers or the delivery process to guarantee that the originality and preservation process is in accordance with the schools’ requirements.

The food menu at The Dewey School has been designed by nutritionists and specialists in order to incoperate ingredients efficiently and avoid repetition of dishes per week and per month, balance diet between meats and vegetables, ensure the quality and energy intake for each meal. On a daily basis, each meals are designed to have at least 2-3 ingredients which supplement protein, at least 3-5 types of vegetables. Protein supplement ingredients include: pork, beef (rich in iron, zinc), chicken, goose, duck (rich in zinc), shrimp, crabs, river fish (rich in calcium), clam, salmon, prawn (rich in omega 3) and other nutrients.

Apart from the main ingredients, the school also consider to increase the calcium intake by adding supplementary products from fresh milk, drinking yogurt, cheese,… to support students with the best condition to develop physical growth. The seasonal menu collection, no repetition for 8 weeks, include diverse Asian & Western cuisines, cultural delicacies, suitable for each dietary restrictions, intrigue a certain sense of excitement for the students through each school meal. Furthermore, there are Western cuisines available on Fridays, which help students to be accustomed with different types of food from around the world. A notable feature at The Dewey School is that maximizing the number of dishes the are freshly cooked in the vicinity of the school’s kitchen, rather than importing manufactured goods to ensure food safety and hygiene.

Students at The Dewey School are educated with basic knowledge about nutrition, food safety and cook at home for special occasions annually, cooking classes, farm visits,… support students in forming a healthy eating habit and learn to appreciate food, avoid food wasting. Trainings to enhance operation competency, culinary skills and nutrition knowledge are organized annually by the school to develop and closely monitor the school’s kitchen operation.
